Barbara Ann Tucker, known lovingly to family and friends as Barb, Mom and Grams, passed away on May 14, 2026, at Mansfield Methodist Hospital, following two strokes. She was born on November 8, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, and shortly after her family relocated to Dallas. She resided in Duncanville for over 30 years before moving to Midlothian in 2005.Barbara earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from East Texas State University in 1968. She taught for over 20 years in the Irving and Duncanville ISDs, teaching high school subjects ranging from typing and shorthand to business computer classes. Barbara retired from Duncanville in 2010, then continued her service after the classroom with the Duncanville Area Retired School Employees.Outside of her work in education, Barbara lived a full and active life.
