Walter Wayne Warwas was called by God to follow the Angel Gabriel home to heaven on Wednesday May 13 2026. He was born in the Yorktown Hospital on a hot summer day July 18 1959 to parents Milton Arthur and Helen Berckenhoff Warwas. He had spent the last three years living in the Yorktown Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. He was baptized into Catholic faith on July 26 1959 his sponsors were Walter and Leona Berckenhoff. He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church receiving First Communion on May 5 1968 and getting confirmed on May 10 1972. Walter attended Holy Cross Catholic School then transferred to Yorktown public school. In high school he was active in Yorktown FFA and was a member of the senior class of 1978.
