It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Ruth McCrary who left us on February 14 2026 at the age of 81. She was born in Denison Tx on April 24 1944 to Aline and Ellis Doc Shearin. She grew up in Denison before moving her family to Dallas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Aline and Ellis brothers Wilbur Robert Bob Walter Dub Husband Ed McCrary daughter Teresa Ann Adcock son Harold Dean Brookshire Jr and her twin sister who passed at birth. Betty is survived by her son inlaw Gary Adcock daughter inlaw Mary Brookshire her grandchildren Michael and Denise Richard and Ashlee Charlie and Aisha Adam and Brittney. Brenda Sue Loudermilk Brown was born in ColumbusOhio on April 22nd I96l to Sharryn Sue and William Loudermilk. She grew up as a member of the Shepherd Church of the Nazarene where her grandmother taught Sunday school. Then at 15 moved to Santa Fe Springs California with her father until his passing in 1977 of cancer. Her and her 2 younger siblings moved back to Columbus for a short time then she returned to California and at 16 she met the love of her life. Peter Brown in 1978. Born on July 11 1956 in Tulsa Oklahoma Robert was the son of Robert Lewis Miles and Genevieve Strack. He was raised in Oklahoma and carried with him throughout his life a deep sense of purpose compassion and dedication to helping others. Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts and a Masters degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He later completed both a Masters degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology in California. Director of Psychology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and John Peter Smith Hospital Robert married Susan Miles in 1996 beginning a partnership filled with love cats and unwavering support. He is survived by his wife Susan Miles his children Zachary Miles and Kourtney Kane. Robert was caring empathetic full of life and a bit mischievous.
