Easter Carter a woman of deep faith impeccable style and a legendary rhythm passed away peacefully at the age of 83 following a courageous journey with Alzheimers Disease. Surrounded by the family she spent her life fostering Easter transitioned from this life to the next leaving behind a legacy as sweet as her renowned peach cobbler. Born on November 25 1941 to Flonza and Massie Green Easter learned the value of family early. At just eight years old following the passing of her mother she helped care for her four younger siblings. Despite these early responsibilities her spirit remained vibrant. As a teenager she found her rhythm as a member of the 1957 Jackson High School drill team beginning a lifelong love affair with dance and music.
