Inez Childres Johnson beloved Mama Nanny and faithful servant of the Lord passed peacefully on May 16 2026 at the beautiful age of 98. She was a member of the Lone Star Church where she attended and was baptized at an early age. Inez was born on July 15 1927 in Byers Texas to John Nowlin Childres and Sally Presley Childres. She grew up with strong family values a hardworking spirit and a deep faith that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated from Fulbright Texas and later attended Jessie Lees Beauty School in Lubbock Texas where she began a career that would become both her livelihood and passion. For 52 years Inez worked as a hairdresser touching countless lives with her kindness warmth listening ear and gentle spirit.
