Stephen Michael Okonski, age 64, went with Jesus with family beside him at his lifelong home in Bremond, Texas.Born May 17, 1962, he was a cherished son of Steve Frank and Josephine (Nobra) Okonski.Stephen grew up Bremond. Born with Down Syndrome, he attended Mexia State School for his formative years of learning and development. Completing his requirements at Mexia State School, he returned home to Bremond to be with family.Throughout his life , Stephen participated in Day Programs until the age of 63. During these years, his pure heart, hard work and joyful spirit allowed him to develop deep friendships and lasting relationships with very special people and dedicated staff members.A lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church, Stephen truly loved God.
