Joel Mark Gartenberg passed away peacefully on March 26 2026 with his loving wife Sally by his side. He was born in the Bronx New York on April 19 1942 to Claire and Irving Gartenberg. He attended public schools there until the family which included Joel sister Gail and brother David moved to Las Vegas NV in 1954. Joel graduated from Rancho High School where has was involved in such school activities as Thespians JROTC athletics and Junior Achievement. Following graduation Joel enlisted in the US Army where he served with the Corps of Engineers in a construction battalion in Pirmasens Germany. He graduated from the challenging Seventh Army NCO Academy in 1960. In 1962 he applied for and was admitted to the US Military Academy Preparatory School at Belvoir VA. She was born and raised in Tarrant County Texas. Susan was a gifted and creative glassblower who turned her talent into a lifelong passion and profession. From the early 1980s through the mid2000s she owned and operated her business . Alongside her mother Billie Clark she traveled across the country showcasing and selling her handcrafted glass creations. Locally many remember seeing Susan at craft fairs at Hulen Mall and Ridgmar Mall where her artistry and dedication were on full display. She had a special love for animals especially her cats whom she lovingly cared foroften treating them to homecooked meals of boiled chicken.
