of Mechanicsville VA passed away on March 30 2026 at the age of 95. He was preceded in death by his parents Johann B. Weigl and Anna Weigl and brother Alfons. Joe is survived by a lovely family that includes his loving wife of almost 70 years Frances Rich Weigl. Surviving are his three children Bernard J. Weigl Deborah W. Rosenthal Seth Mark A. Weigl Julie his five grandchildren Joshua T. Rosenthal Brittany N. Rosenthal Shawn A. Rosenthal Lindsey Aspyn G. Weigl and Jett T. Weigl. Joe was born in Bavaria Germany on October 15 1930.
