Frances E. Walton 97 of the Masonic Home of Virginia went to be with the Lord Friday February 13 2026. She was preceded in death by her husbands Elmer Peterson and Edward Walton and her daughter Janie Peterson Diehl. Frances is survived by her children Nancy Eckler Robert and James Peterson five grandchildren Stephanie Christopher Daniel Amanda and Rachel and seven great grandchildren. She loved gardening and was a masterful seamstress. Frances was an active member of Fairmount Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Thursday February 19 2026 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home 8014 LeeDavis Rd. Services will be private.

Matthew Hugh Lloyd III passed away on Tuesday February 10 2026 at age 74. He was born on August 6 1951 to M. Hugh Lloyd Jr. and Elizabeth Betty Grubbs Lloyd. He was preceded in death by his parents grandparents uncles John E. Lloyd and William A. Lloyd Sr. and his wife Anne D. Lloyd aunts Ann F. Joyce and Mary W. Lloyd and first cousins Rebecca W. Lloyd Jacquelyn Grubbs Deales and John C. Lloyd. He is survived by his sisters Janice Lloyd Banks and her husband Charley and Nancy C. Lloyd his nephew Douglas M.
