She grew up in Chesterfield County and made a career in nursing. In the later years of her career she focused on elder care and loved making her patients smile. She had a wonderful sense of humor and adored a good hat. Throughout her life she was known for her green thumb and served as President of the Richmond Rose Society was a Master Gardener and was a member of several other garden clubs in the Richmond area. She was incredibly passionate about gardening and traveled overseas many times for various horticulture competitions and conferences. She was preceded in death by her father Robert L.
