PORTSMOUTH – Paul Ellsworth Smith, 98, of Portsmouth, VA, went home to be with his Lord, on Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1927 in Portsmouth to the late Ellsworth and Katherine Smith.Paul graduated from Churchland High School and served in the Army Air Corp. He retired as a superintendent after 42 years from Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility. Paul was a dedicated member of Green Lakes Baptist Church for over 65 years serving in many capacities including Deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir member. He was a faithful and loving husband and dad with a quiet strength. Paul enjoyed many travels and was able to visit all 50 states.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lee Smith.He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. PORTSMOUTH – Theresa Bernard Riddick, 94, of the 100 block of Heath Lane passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 in her home. She was born on September 23, 1931 in Radford, VA to the late Joseph and Ruby Bernard. Theresa was a member of Rescue Church; and retired as a representative for McCormick Spices after over 20 years. She was a God-fearing woman who didn’t mind calling it the way it was, but was the most caring and compassionate person you would ever meet.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Maury Riddick, Sr.; her son, W.
