Ancil Boyce Sayers Jr., affectionately known as “Junior” to friends and family and “Buster” to some closest to him, most recently of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a longtime resident of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family.Born on April 15, 1949, in the Baptist Valley community of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Junior was the son of the late Ancil Boyce Sayers Sr. and Peggy Ann Earls Sayers.A lifelong Appalachian at heart, Junior’s roots ran deep in Baptist Valley, where he spent nearly his entire life. It was there that he and his beloved wife of 47 years, Nettie “Regina” Howery Sayers, built their home, raised their family, and shared a life surrounded by the mountains and community they loved. In his later years, Junior and Regina relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, to be closer to their son, McKinzey.A…
