On April 20, 2000, he married Chasidy Dawn Gibson.Forever cherishing their memories of Jason are his wife and two daughters: Jocelyn Heater and Jayden Heater, his eldest daughter Kiara Casto; one grandson, Jenson Sanders; and one sister, Amy Burr all of Buckhannon.Jason’s genuine love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. In his younger years, Jason enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. In his older years, he enjoyed spending time with his family whether that be at gatherings or at home with his girls. Jackson Jack Lee Herron age 84 of Buckhannon WV passed away peacefully at his home on February 14 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born September 7 1941 in Cleveland WV a son of the late Keith Wilson Williams and Alma Virginia Herron. Jackson is survived by his loving wife Frances Williams Herron along with his four children Heide Herron Christopher of Saratoga Springs NY Keith Herron of Buckhannon Rhonda Culver Kenny of Elkins WV and Christopher Cogar Amy of Kanawha Head WV together they have 19 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren with two on the way and several other family members. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Gerald and James Herron and several other family members. Jackson was a Vietnam Veteran who served 23 years in the military. She was preceded in death by her father Mike Craven who was killed in World War II her mother Mildred Brunette stepfather Frank Brunette daughterinlaw Camella McCord and her husband of over 50 years Junior McCord. She is survived by sons Steve McCord of Parkersburg WV and Brian McCord of Buckhannon WV granddaughter Katie Cooper Todd of Vienna WV grandson Payton McCord of Morgantown WV and greatgranddaughter Camella Cooper of Vienna. Shirley had a great group of friends that supported each other for over 50 years including Shirley Mason Arletta Mick Betty Jo Rovello Dixie Kennedy Mary Stump and dominoes partner Darlene Hinkle.
