Betty Jean Rice, 80, of Huntington, WV passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Dickerson Cemetery, Wayne, WV with Bro. Arbie Rice officiating. She was born August 6, 1946 at East Lynn, WV, a daughter of the late George H. and Ella Dickerson Belcher. Betty was an exceptional homemaker and a member of the East Lynn Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Wooten, a sister, Doris Belcher, an infant sister, Donna Belcher and an infant brother, George Belcher, Jr. Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-four years, Richard Rice; a daughter, Elizabeth Maynard and husband Everett of Huntington; a son-in-law, Homer Wooten, Jr. of Piketon, OH; two sisters, Wilma Ramey Thomas (David) of Elgin, IL and Teresa Fulks of…
