Roselyn A. Vanden Plas 88 of New Franken passed away early Monday morning Oct. 12 2026 after a long battle with dementia. She was born on May 5 1938 to the late Theodore and Florence Laundrie Schott. Roselyn attended Luxemburg High School and was well known for her baton twirling and musical talents. She married her high school sweetheart Albert Vanden Plas Jr. on July 23 1955 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in New Franken. Roselyn was an amazing wife mother grandmother sister and friend. She especially loved to spend time with her family from her children and their families to her siblings and all of her extended family members. She worked for many years as a nurses aide at Highland Healthcare and enjoyed taking care of her elderly patients. She enjoyed singing sewing gardening cooking and most of all her family.
