Allen Ollie Weiss passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 13 2026 at the age of 92. He was born on January 4 1934 the son of Frank and Hulda Key Weiss. Al lived his entire life in Juneau. He was a 1951 graduate of Juneau High School.This is where his athletic abilities gave him opportunities to enjoy basketball football hockey bowling and his favorite sport baseball. Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army Headquarters of the 2nd Infantry Division at Fort Lewis WA and after some Reserve duties received an Honorable Discharge in 1962. Following his military service he returned home and continued serving the Juneau community in many ways. Most notably he dedicated over 25 years to the Juneau Fire Department where he was an EMS driver and later served as Fire Chief.
