After a long illness and valiant fight, David “Dave” L. Schmidt passed away surrounded by his family on June 30, 2026.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Brookfield with Rev. David Kolander officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church or Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Wauwatosa. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
