William Bill Hughes age 71 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday October 2 2026 at his home. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America Bill cooked for many fine restaurants around the country but is best remembered as the longtime coowner and chef at the Arthur House Restaurant and Supper Club in Platteville. Bill is survived by his wife Deb Hughes his mother Bernice Hughes sisters Mary Richard "Rich" Annen and Sharon Nasser Hughes brothers John Hughes and Michael "Mike" Laura Hughes and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father Robert "Bob" Hughes and his brother James Jim Hughes. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life to be held on Sunday October 25 from 1200 PM to 300 PM at Crossroads Supper Club and Banquet Hall 9315 Hwy 80 North Platteville WI.
