Richard "Rich" E. Ferris

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Richard “Rich” Earl Ferris, of Tomahawk, WI, at the age of 82. He was born June 20, 1944, in Hoopeston, IL, the son of Robert J. and Doris L. Ferris.Rich was an avid reader and collector of literature. He once said that his only regret in life is that he wouldn’t live long enough to read every book there was. He was an avid long-distance walker and loved deep woods trekking and long -distance paths. He had an amazing sense of humor and always kept the mood light and those around him laughing, he had a very kind and gentle soul. Rich was a faithful friend. He was of high moral character and lived his life with integrity. To know Rich was to love him.Rich graduated from America University in 1969 with a BA, then he served…
