Myrtle “Myrt” B. Ludgatis, age 82, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Myrt was born on April 10, 1943, in Arbor Vitae, WI, to the late Leonard and Margaret (Knoblock) Haling. She attended school in Arbor Vitae and began what would become a lifelong passion for cooking at the young age of 14. Over the next 60 years, she dedicated herself to her craft working in area restaurants.Myrt found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She took great pride in tending to her vegetable garden and canning. She loved watching the birds and seeing the flowers bloom each year. Myrt also enjoyed visits to the casino where she was known for her discipline and good fortune, often returning home a winner. Richard “Dick” J. Stromberg, age 84, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Milestone Assisted Living under the care of his family and Compassus Hospice. Dick was born on July 21, 1941, in Chicago, IL, to the late Albin and Rosalie (Piotrowski) Stromberg. In 1955, he moved with his family to a farm in the Town of Spirit, WI. He attended Prentice High School and went on to dedicate 42 years of employment to the PCA paper mill in Tomahawk.Dick was united in marriage to Patricia Belliveau and together, they had two daughters, Susan and Debra. They later divorced. He married Carol (Roberts) Wurster on March 5, 1971; she passed away in 2021.
