Cerven Jr., 92, of Blue River, died on Friday, February 27, 2026, at home..Paul was born on November 15, 1933, in Pana, IL, the son of Paul Sr. and Emma (Desatnick) Cerven. After he graduated from Pana High School in 1952, he started basic training in Texas in 1953. Paul served in the Army in Germany from 1953 until his honorable discharge as Sergeant in 1955.Paul attended DeVry University from 1955 to 1957. He married Grace Schuettpelz on August 10, 1957, in Suring, WI.He worked at Hamilton Hathaway in Denver, CO for two years and at Oster in Racine in 1959. Paul started working at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine in 1971 until he retired in 1999.Paul became part of the Knights of Columbus in 1952 and was honored to serve as a…

Richard S. Burris, 77, of Richland Center, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Richard was born on September 6, 1948, in Richland Center, the son of John and Teressa (Monson) Burris. After graduating from Richland Center High School, he attended University of Wisconsin – Platteville, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. Richard taught band and orchestra in the Dodgeville School District his entire career. Upon retirement he returned to Richland Center, where he resided until his death.Richard was a faithful servant of the Lutheran Church for many years and enjoyed interaction with those in the Christian faith. Music continued to be a big part of his life whether he was teaching or playing for services at the church.Richard is survived by his sister: Sylvia (James) Camella of Pennsylvania; nephews: Matthew and Brian (Jennifer) Camella.Richard was preceded in death by…
