Joy Dorothy Cornell, 54, of Richland Center, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1971, in Richland Center, the daughter of Dr. C.D. and Dorothy A. (Martin) Fretz.On August 17, 1991, Joy married the love of her life Jason Cornell at the Richland Baptist Temple, in Richland Center. Together they raised three children: Jacob, Jessica, and Jonathon.In addition to raising her three children, Joy also taught at the Richland Christian Academy educating youth for over 25 years. For over 11 years she worked and managed Forward Home for Boys, providing exemplary love and support for the boys in her care.Joy enjoyed photography and scrapbooking, and chronicled countless hours of her family’s activities and travels in handcrafted memory albums.
