Lyle Downing, age 67, passed away on February 14, 2026 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin on November 19, 1958, the son of Ernest and Roberta Louise (Ferguson) Downing. He graduated from Parker High School in 1977. On April 30, 1988, Lyle married Karen Lewis at The Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, IL.A Janesville resident, Lyle worked at General Motors, retiring in 2007.He was a member of the Local UAW 95. Lyle loved socializing, telling jokes, riding his motorcycle, and being with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for being the life of the party. David J. Vanden Noven

Edgerton, Wisconsin

David J. Vanden Noven, age 65, of Edgerton, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Edgerton Care Center. He was born in Madison on October 1, 1960, the son of Donald and Marian (Lunde) Vanden Noven. He was a 1979 graduate of Stoughton High School and went on to further his studies and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Police Science. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served for 16 years in active duty, reserves and the National Guard. David worked as a correctional officer for the Rock County Sheriff’s Department for 24 years until his retirement. He married Susan “Sue” E. Hampton on June 8, 1991, at Hope Lutheran in Cottage Grove.
