A celebration of life for Dr. Ricki Lee Lawrence DVM 71 will be held at 200 P.M. Tuesday April 7 2026 at his home 551 West Sybille in Guernsey Wyoming. Rick was born on Monday March 7 1955 at the naval base in Hutchinson Kansas to Walter Lee and Carlene Janet Bornholdt Lawrence. Rick grew up in Buffalo Wyoming and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1973. During his school years he was an active member of FFA where he proudly raised a championship steer. In his younger days Rick worked on the ranch and participated in rodeo embracing the western lifestyle he loved. He also followed in his grandfathers footsteps becoming an excellent hunter and fisherman. Rick pursued higher education at the University of Wyoming completing predoctorate work before earning his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Colorado in 1995.
