Joan M. Wilburn 89 went home to be with the Lord on May 14 2026 passing peacefully surrounded by her family. A woman of steadfast faith she lived her life with grace humility and a quiet trust in God that guided her through every season. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Ethel Roberts sister Sylvia Grace Foster and husband Charles Bill Wilburn. While residing in Sandy Spring Maryland Joan raised five children who remained the center of her world. Her family grew to include 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. Joan spent several decades working at the Sandy Spring Post Office where her reliability and kindness made her a beloved presence in the community. She later became Postmaster of the Spencerville Maryland Post Office a role she served with dedication until her retirement in 1992. Her…
