Gerald James Murdza 77 of Ludlow passed away in the ease of his own home on Friday May 8 2026. Gerald Jerry was born on July 16 1948 to the late John and Amelia Murdza. Raised in Chicopee Mass. he was a graduate of Chicopee High School Class of 1966. Jerry was a longtime resident of Ludlow. He retired after employment with Valley Plating for 35 years from 1980 to 2015. He was a car enthusiast avidly attending car shows and working on his Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible. Jerry admired the outdoors whether it was traveling all over the place or simply staying in the yard working on one of is many projects in and around the house especially including his love for his John Deeres. Belmira Natalia Clemente Barbosa 86 passed away peacefully on May 15 2026 at the Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 10 1939 in Esmolfe she was one of six children born to the late Manuel and Maria Laureiro Barbosa. At the age of 19 Belmira immigrated to the United States and settled in Holyoke. She later returned to Portugal to marry her neighbor and the love of her life Frederico Clemente. They later moved to Springfield where they lovingly raised their family together. In 1977 they moved to Ludlow and for the past 49 years has been her home. Belmira was a faithful and devoted member of Christ the King Church. Christopher Patrick Kit Gallagher Jr. 85 passed away peacefully on May 10 2026 at Chicopee Rehabilitation Nursing Center Birch Manor with his loving family by his side. Born in Rome New York he was the oldest of nine children of the late Christopher and Flora Kief Gallagher. Chris was raised in the Hungry Hill neighborhood of Springfield Massachusetts where he formed many lifelong friendships. A graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1958 he was an avid athlete in his youth especially enjoying basketball a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He went on to earn his teaching degree from Westfield State College and spent many years to at Putnam Vocational High School where he coached basketball football and baseball. Patricia A. Martin Labossiere 89 passed away May 14 2026 at Mercy Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Springfield MA on March 9 1937 to the late Raymond and Emily Barnes Martin. Patsy grew up in the Pine Point neighborhood of Springfield and later spent more than 20 years living in Belchertown. For the past 17 years she made her home at Mount Marie Senior Residences. She retired from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority after more than two decades as a toll booth operator. Patsy also generously volunteered at the Jewish Nursing Home. In her free time she enjoyed shopping knitting and trying her luck with the lottery. Independent and spontaneous by nature Patsy had a warm outgoing personality and a gift for making friends wherever she went.
