Jane Stachelek Mishol Gaines of Springfield passed away peacefully at her home on August 5 2026. Jane was born in Bridgeport Connecticut on January 1 1938 and later moved with her parents to Ludlow in 1950. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Nicewicz Stachelek. Jane attended Ludlow High School and graduated in 1955. She was a devout Catholic and a 50 year communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield where she served as a Eucharistic Minister a CCD teacher and was the recipient of the Saint Pius X Award. She was also a past officer and member of the Parishs former Womens Club a member of the Parish Council for many years and a team member of its former Youth Ministry and Lazarus Ministry serving as an adult altar server for funerals. Shirley M. Hyland Boyer 89 died August 12 2026 at Hampden Post Acute Center in Wilbraham. Born in Burlington VT on November 14 1936 she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille Beaulieu Hyland. Shirley was the manager of the curtain department at Steigers in the Eastfield Mall until it closed not her fault and later in the curtain department at JC Penney until it closed also not her fault . Shirley is survived by her husband of 66 years Terrence K. Boyer four children Carolyn Brewster of Ohio Thomas Boyer and his wife Pamela of Monson Stephen Boyer of Ludlow and Debbie Magill of Monson two sisters Sandra Savage of Nebraska and Mary Clark of Westfield six grandchildren and one greatgrandson.
