Thomas Wayne Kenny, 76, of Lapeer, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones after battling a three-year illness.He was born on March 8, 1950, in Detroit. Tom graduated from Troy High School in 1968 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. On April 19, 1985, he married the love of his life, Debra K. (Wilson) Rewa, in Lapeer. Together, they shared 41 years of marriage and built a life filled with family time, outdoor adventures, hard work and laughter.Tom worked as a heavy equipment operator for 50 years, retiring in 2013 from Rauhorn Electric. His greatest passions were fishing, hunting, working on the family’s cars, and spending time with his family camping and boating.Hunting was Tom’s ultimate passion and he loved being outdoors, especially on walleye fishing trips to Lake Erie with Debbie.Tom was one of…
