Marjorie Jean Dismuke, a longtime resident of Columbiaville, died peacefully surrounded by loving family at the age of 100 Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born March 21, 1926, to parents Lewis and Drina (Carpenter) Betcher.Marjorie put her family above all else. In 1944, she married the love of her life, Robert Dismuke, and the two spent decades growing a family and community they took so much pride in. Marjorie supported her children to no end. She loved attending sporting events and sewing their clothing from scratch. Then she later got to adore all her grandchildren and had a unique, special relationship with each one. She loved babysitting, taught Sunday School at Mt. Calvary Church in Warren and always approached people with kindness and hugs. In her free time, she could make the absolute best apple pie. She paid her neighbors back with that pie when they helped her, so…
