age 70 born and living in Tecumseh Ml his entire life passed away October 6 2026 after a courageous battle with metastatic pharyngeal cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife Valerie Barrett and his muchloved and spoiled German Shepherd Akina. He is preceded in death by his daughter Sherri who passed away also of cancer at just 21 and entrusted Gary with the care and upbringing of her 4 year old Kyle Barrett who now lives with his father. Gary also leaves behind three sisters Denise Boose Kathy Jim Wollett and Valerie Matt McLemore daughter Krystal Nicholas Carlson one grandson Kyle Barrett and two granddaughters Hannah Haley and Kyra Carlson. In addition to his daughter Sherri he is preceded in death by his parents Ronald Gloria Meyer Barrett and one brother Ryan Barrett.
