Richard L. Heap lived a life marked by love intellectual curiosity a passion for travel and an unwavering devotion to DIY projects. Richard passed away peacefully at home on June 27 2026 at the age of 64. Richard never met a problem he didnt think could be solved with enough thought the right tool frequently purchased the night before or a carefully drawn diagram. His curiosity was boundless. Whether the subject was sailing computer networking heating systems or airline loyalty programs Richard delighted in understanding how things worked and optimizing them. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Suzanne Piotrowski and their two sons Douglas and Simon. He is also survived by his cherished nieces Philippa Mothersill and Hattie Key brotherinlaw Dick Mothersill and his extended Piotrowski family.
