Charlotte C. Carey 92 a longtime resident of Dover Plains NY passed away on Monday August 17 2026 at Village Crest Center for Health and Rehabilitation in New Milford CT. Born on April 27 1934 in Cornwall CT she was the daughter of the late David and Ernestine Brown Currier. On September 27 1952 she married Francis Carey who predeceased her on March 4 2010. Mrs. Carey worked as a bank teller at Pawling Savings Bank in Dover Plains NY. She was a longtime member of the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Carey is survived by a daughter Susan Brevi of Dover Plains NY and two grandchildren Daniel Brevi and his wife Julianne of Dover Plains NY and Brandy Barnes and her husband Jerome of Chatham NY also survived by five greatgrandchildren Penely Carsyn and Wyatt Brevi and Jamison and Jaelynn Barnes. Anita E. Carter 67 a lifelong area resident passed away peacefully on Saturday August 15 2026 in Amenia. Mrs. Carter was a caregiver who loved to cook and bake and enjoyed camping and most of all spending time with her family. Born on November 14 1958 in Sharon CT she was the daughter of the late Victor OBrien and Joanne Alice OBrien who survives in Dover Plains. She is survived by her two daughters Kelly Carter and her partner Michael Way of Brookfield CT and Sara Carter of Dover Plains NY. She is also survived by her sister Vickie Dunlop of Dover Plains NY and her brother Steven OBrien of Dover Plains NY three grandchildren Alexis Carter Cassandra Way and Ethan Carter Way.
