Johnstown Mark Damin 74 of Johnstown passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Monday May 11 2026. He was born on September 23 1951 in Amsterdam NY the son of the late Peter and June Reed Damin. Mark was a graduate of Oppenheim Ephratah Central School and Cobleskill College. Mark started his working career at Widankas John Deere and then at General Electric in Schenectady NY for many years. Survivors include his brothers Alan Karen Damin and Glen Mary Damin sister Lisa Robert Harvey nephews Jason Peter Adam Andrew and Tyler nieces Betty and Kathleen four great nephews and two great nieces. It is with great sadness that the family of Donna J. Swartz 95 announce her passing on January 5 2026. A lifelong resident of St. Johnsville Donna spent the last eight months of her life at Wells House in Johnstown. Born on April 22 1930 Donna was one of ten children of the late Frank A. and Laura M. Wick Nellis. She attended David H. Robbins Elementary School and graduated from St. Johnsville High School in 1948. Though she had plans and arrangements to attend college and pursue her dream of becoming a teacher Donna chose to stay home at the request of her beloved father. Her devotion to family was unwavering and remained the cornerstone of her life. On November 25 1951 Donna married the love of her life Leland George Swartz.
