Keron Samuel Marios Hernandez age 43 of Salisbury passed March 19 2026 at his residence. He was born in Trinidad Tobago Port of Spain to Vernon Hernandez and Paulina Maingot where he was educated having attended college. He was employed as a fork lifter. He will be truly missed by his wife Alisha Hernandez son Keron Samuel Marios Hernandenz Jr. Salisbury daughters Iyana Hernandez Zakiyah Black Khaliyah Black and Zamyrah Hernandez brothers Kester Hernandez Wyndell Smith and Vernon Hernandez Jr. sisters Stacy Wright Orlando and Carla Hernandez and a host of nieces nephews cousins and friends. A walk through visitation will be held on Saturday April 4 2026 at Hairston Funeral Home Inc. 703 S. Main St. Salisbury NC from 100 p.m. 400 p.m.. Shirley Cartrett Burr, age 78, of Salisbury, NC, passed away on April 1, 2026 at Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.  Shirley was born May 26, 1947 in Concord, NC, to the late Raleigh Leon Cartrett and the late Mattie Mae Brown Cartrett.She was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Linn Cartrett, and sister Maxine Cartrett Cain.Survivors include spouse of 40 years, Jim Lober; brother Ken Cartrett and wife Gloria; nephews Neil Cartrett, Jerry Cain and Joe Cain. Nieces include Kelley Cartrett-Phifer, Victoria Love, Aimee Cain and Kimberly Cain.Shirley will always be remembered as the world's best aunt and a passionate animal lover.There will be a private family service at a later date.

Louise Sides Wells, 85, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026.She was born February 14, 1941 in Rowan County to the late John and Beulah Misenheimer Sides. Louise loved to read and work on puzzle books.In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Wells, Sr., and brothers, Howard Sides and Ernest Sides.Louise is survived by her daughters, Verinna (Roland) Hunter of Albemarle, NC, Sunday (Jeffrey) Solomon of New London, NC, Vickie (Victor) Parker of Stanfield, NC, Sallie (Donnie) Coley of Albemarle, NC; son, Darrell Wells of Albemarle, NC; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.Powles Staton Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the Wells family. “Michael ‘Mike’ Stogner, 67, of Salisbury, went to be with his Lord, Redeemer, and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Novant Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina.He was born March 18, 1959, in Scotland County, North Carolina, to the late Hilton Stogner and Margaret Byrd Stogner.Mike was a graduate of Bible Missionary Baptist Bible College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He retired in 2023 from his work as an operator for Stalite.He was an active member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Treasurer for eight years.He enjoyed attending revivals and tent meetings, NASCAR racing, and spending time with his dogs, his family, and in fellowship with his church family.
