James L. Jun Blackwood 70 a cherished loving husband devoted father friend and beloved member of the Salisbury community passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 24 2026 at Novant Hospital with his beloved wife Deb by his side. Born in Fountain Hill Jun was the son of the late John Jr and Jeanette Laubach Blackwood. Juns journey through life was marked by service dedication and a deep love for his family and community. He graduated from Southern Lehigh High School where he excelled not only academically but also on the football field. Following his graduation Jun joined the Navy in 1973 and later pursued his engineering degree at LCCC. His Steadfast dedication led him to a successful career initially at Curtiss Wright in NJ before relocating to NC in 2012.
