Janice was born on April 29 1945 in Youngstown the daughter of Joseph and Carmel DeMartino Ferranti. She was a teacher at St. Lukes School in Boardman and finished her career working for the State of Pennsylvania. She was president of the Lemoyne State Quilters who produced and provided quilts for use by children with AIDS in Philadelphias St. Christophers Hospital AIDS pediatric ward in 1991. In her spare time Janice enjoyed traveling quilting researching her genealogy and she was a very good artist who loved her dogs. Her beloved husband of 25 years William Gib Foster passed away in 2002. She treasured the many love letters he wrote each and every day. Janice will always be remembered lovingly by her stepchildren William Dub Foster and Kate Ford two brothers Bob Barb Ferranti and James Deborah Ferranti and nieces Becky and Corine and nephew Michael. BoardmanJames Joseph Tarr77 known to his family and friends as Jimbo passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 26 2026 after bravely battling cancer. Jim married Alice Felleti Tarr on October 31 1987 and they shared many years together until her passing in 2020. Throughout his adult life Jim was an avid weightlifter a passion he carried with dedication and pride. In his younger years he worked as a bouncer at the Freakout the Apartment and the Top Hat where his steady presence and strong character earned him respect. Jim later spent many years working for Modern Builders. Jim is survived by his son Eric Tarr two grandsons Brandon and Ashton Tarr a brother John Joann Tarr niece Lisa and nephew John Jr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice loving parents Sam and Helen Tarr and a brother Michael Tarr.
