Clara Folk, 85, of Fostoria Ohio, passed away Tuesday August 18th, 2026. She was born January 30th, 1941, in Fostoria to Ernest and Lillian Folk. Clara is survived by her sister, Diana Geiger, and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Alan Folk. Clara was a graduate of Fostoria High School and Fremont Beauty School. She also attended Bob Jones University of Christian Education in Greenville, South Carolina. She later owned and operated the Pert-N-Pretty hair salon in Fostoria and retired in 2006 after 46 years. Above all, Clara was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of the Fostoria Baptist Church. Janette K. Laney, 87, of Fostoria, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at the Independence House, Fostoria. She was born February 24, 1939 in Findlay, OH to Roscoe & Almettie (Woods) St. Myer. She married Howard E. Laney Jr. on April 2, 1961. Howard passed August 24, 2024.She is survived by her children Randy Laney of Findlay & Julie (Charlie) Lewisof Fostoria, grandchildren Josh, Leah, Joel, Maria, Hannah & Heather,great grandchildren Ethan, Arianna, Matthew & Chloe.Janette is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Curt & Chris Laney& 10 siblings.Janette grew up as one of eleven children in rural Findlay & graduated from Findlay High School. She later worked as a homemaker.
