Madeleine A. Davis Deeb a lifelong resident of Scranton passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Elan Skilled Nursing Center. She was 85 years old. She is survived by the light of her life her husband Edward J. Deeb. Wed on September 4 1965 the couple were married for 60 years. Born in Scranton on March 16 1941 and a coal miners daughter to the late William and Lucille Hopkins DavisMadeleine was a graduate of West Scranton High Schools Class of 1959. Along with raising her two daughters she went on to work as a bookkeeper for Quaker Insurance Woodlawn Dairy Farm and Bankers Casualty and Life Co. She then worked alongside her husband at his business Country Deli Delights in Moscow before retiring from Maseychik Associates Insurance.

Frank R. Froese 72 of Dunmore died April 1st at Geisinger Community Medical Center Scranton after having waged a fierce and relentless battle with cancer. His widow is Kathryn Kathy Park Froese. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1972. Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Frank and the late Joan Derrig Froese. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Military Police Corps at Fort Dix New Jersey and Fort Lee Virginia prior to being honorably discharged in 1975. Frank had been employed by RCAThompson Consumer Electronics for 29 years. Frank and Kathy then purchased Kuzzins Cafe Dunmore in 2004 from which he inspired a family of their patrons. She was preceded in death by her husband David Norton.Born January 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Broughton) Bidwell. Fern was a devoted mother and wife.
