Annetta Reichert age 95 a former resident of Lakeville passed away peacefully on Monday February 9 2026 at Spring Village at Pocono East Stroudsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1987. Born March 31 1930 in Northampton PA Annetta was the daughter of the late Stephen and Carrie Hess Wasser. She was a graduate of Northampton High School. A resident of Bethlehem for many years she was employed as a cafeteria worker for Bethlehem School District. After moving to Lakeville she joined the congregation of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church serving as the financial secretary and a member of the Willing Workers. She was also a member of Hawley Womens Club. An avid traveler and reader she also loved to swim and once swam all the way across Lake Wallenpaupack. John was born September 4 1941 to Rutherford and Virginia Swaney of Plainfield NJ. He and his brother William 19372012 grew up in Plainfield and eventually attended Rider College. John earned his degree in Finance and worked in Healthcare Administration at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch NJ for the bulk of his career. John married his wife Cheryl 19452015 on May 20 1967. They spent most of their married years as residents of Brielle NJ where they raised their two children Debra and Keith. In 1999 they relocated to Hawley PA where they enjoyed outdoor activities spending time with their children and grandchildren and participating in numerous church activities at the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley.
