Martin D. Kite age 88 of Rogersville passed away Monday August 10 2026 at Signature Healthcare of Rogersville following a period of declining health. Mr. Kite was a lifelong resident and farmer of Hawkins County. He was preceded in death by his parents Dock and Clara White Kite. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Judy Winkle Kite son Jim Kite and wife Michele of Rogersville grandchildren Emalee RobertKite McDonald Austin Hannah Kitegreat grandchildren Forrest and Caroline McDonald and Alice Kite sisters Irene Kesterson and Lucille Testerman brother Billy Rosalie Kite all of Rogersville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 100 p.m. Wednesday August 12 2026 at Martin Kite Family Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Keith Osborne officiating. For those that wish to attend the graveside service please meet at the cemetery at 1245 p.m.

Zadok Allen Johnson

Zadok Allen Johnson one year old of Rogersville passed away Saturday August 15 2026 at Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt. He was born April 25 2025 in Johnson City Tennessee to Jorgen and Savannah Kuhn Johnson. Zadok was a light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. From his very first day to his last he fought harder than most people do in a lifetime. He recently learned to walk and his favorite thing was playing with his sisters and keeping his parents on their toes. Though his time with us was far too short Zadok taught everyone that he came into contact with countless lessons but perhaps the greatest was to see and know the goodness of God.
