He grew up with a love for the outdoors that stayed with him throughout his life. Bob found great joy in nature whether hunting watching birds feeding squirrels or simply sitting outside and appreciating the quiet beauty around him. In his younger years he also loved riding his Harley and embracing the freedom of the open road. Bob was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He treasured time spent visiting with loved ones and especially cherished moments with his grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. James Jim Steininger passed away peacefully on February 11 2026 at Memorial Hermann Southeast after a short but courageous battle with stage four lung cancer. He was surrounded by the constant love and support of his family. Jim was born on July 15 1950 in Wellsville New York to Ed and Rose Steininger. At the age of eight he moved with his family to Pasadena Texas where he was raised and would spend much of his life before relocating to Deer Park in 2000.
