Dennis Paul Ashley 77 of Essex passed away peacefully at his home on Monday March 30 2026. He was born in Burlington on May 16 1948 son of the late Harley and Margaret Ashley. Dennis proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the US Army. While in serving in Germany he met his Susan Humrich love at first sight. They married on Jan 06 1976 in Switzerland. They had three children and four grandchildren traveled to many places and had many adventures. Dennis earned an associate degree in Early childhood. He was a preschool teacher Sunday school teacher Vacation Bible School being many different characters. Always making sure the children knew their memory verses. Ignite Church in Williston became a big part of his life. Dennis retired to Vermont in 1993. He truly was the best family man. He loved fishing and playing golf enjoyed…
