Nancy Leonard

Born on January 14 1947 in Elizabeth New Jersey Nancy graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1964 and went on to attend Arcadia University formerly Beaver College. Following her graduation she began her teaching career in Rutland Vermont where she taught fifth grade. A devoted and gifted educator Nancy served as the primary librarian at Williston Central School and later taught first and second grade at both Allen Brook School and Williston Central School where she remained until her retirement in 2009. Throughout her distinguished career she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her kindness patience and enduring love of learning. After retiring Nancy continued her commitment to service through volunteer work at the local food bank. She also found great joy in travel visiting Costa Rica the Azores Amsterdam Italy London and many other destinations including treasured summer weeks spent with her Island Girls. Always elegant…
