Eleanor Mood, 98, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026 surrounded by those she loved.She was born on February 13, 1928 to Charlotte Lynch and John Paul O’Brien in Syracuse, New York. She and her brother John attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic High School and after graduating as salutatorian, she went to work for the telephone company. On November 11, 1950 she married John (Jack) Mood and they began a life that took them all over the world. Eleanor loved to travel and to learn about other cultures. Never daunted by the challenge of living in foreign countries, she learned how to get around, shop using different currencies and communicate in different languages. She and Jack had four children, each born in a different country. She was a loving mother and doting grandmother. Eleanor loved children, flower arranging, playing bridge and golf, and reading.
