Linda LordCASTLETON-Linda Lord, 83 of Castleton died May 11, 2026 at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, NY.She was born on May 26, 1942 in Brandon the daughter of Howard and Gertrude (Prouty) Beckwith.She graduated from the Brandon High School in 1960.Linda married Norman Lord on March 27, 1961 in Wallingford.She loved being a mother and enjoyed puzzles and gardening.Survivors include her husband Norman of Castleton, 2 daughters Loni Wasilewski of West Rutland, and Wendy Brown of TN, a son Eric Lord of NH, a sister Audrey Stricklyn of AR, 9 grandchildren, 4 Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a son Michael in 1988, a sister Wanda Brothers, and a brother Alan Prouty.Private burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Castleton.

Keith YoungWEST RUTLAND- Keith Mitchell Young, 73 of West Rutland and a former longtime resident of Rutland Town died April 22, 2026 in West Rutland.He was born in Rutland on January 14, 1953 the son of David L. and Virginia L. ( Mitchell ) Young.Keith was employed many years by the General Electric Company until his retirement.He was a former member of the Rutland Volunteer Fire Department.Keith loved spending time at camp with his family hunting and being in the woods.Survivors include a 2 sisters Deborah Young-Goodrich of Rutland Town, Leslie (Don) Atwood of Massillon, Ohio, and 3 brothers Larry Young (Wanda), Michael Young, of Rutland Town and Scott Young of Rutland city, and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Amy Virginia DellVeneri in 2006Burial will be in the Cheney Hill Cemetery in Rutland Town.Arrangements are with the Aldous Funeral Home

She was known to have the “Best Baked Beans in Vermont” She was a devout Red Sox fan. To the point during The 1967 Impossible Dream Season, she was pictured in a Boston newspaper with her two Boston Terriers, Mona and Queenie, that were wearing red socks.She has been a longtime resident of the Parker House where she served on the Activity Committee.Survivors include several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a sister Anna Larouere…

NicholsClarendon- John Nelson Nichols. 91 of Clarendon and formerly of Danby, passed away on May 14, 2026.He was born on April 2, 1935, in Manchester at the home of his maternal grandparents to William and Mary (Batchelder) Nichols.John graduated from Burr and Burton Seminary in 1953.He was in the United States Army stationed in San Antonio, TX. He was on the Fort Sams rifle team.He enjoyed everything outdoors including gardening, was an avid hunter and fisherman, hunting many times in Montana, Colorado, and Maine.John married Linda Frost in Manchester in 1980.
