Dorothy "Dot" Moore Martin passed away on Thursday October 8th 2026. She was born to the late Joseph Alexander Moore and Dorothy Mae Myers Moore in Richmond VA. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years William "Billy" Martin and her sister Joanne Moore Kirkland. Dot was a loving mother wife and friend. She was a faithful member of New Highland Baptist Church and served her community as a diligent nurse for 36 years. She leaves behind her children Chris Martin Scott Martin Samanthia and Brian Martin her grandchildren Savanna Martin Cameron Martin and Poppy Martin her special niece Melissa Moore Dixon her special friends Bettie Sue and Jimmy Mills and everyone else who knew her. The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 14th from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Homes. Interment will be private. In lieu…
