Portsmouth, VA — Chizuko M. Myers, 96, passed away on March 29, 2026. A native of Saga, Japan, she was the wife of the late Grant W. Myers.She is survived by her son, William Myers, and his wife, Gaye; her daughter, Rebecca Cutchins, and her husband Ron; and three grandchildren: Makenzie Myers, Kendall Cutchins, and Wyndsor Cutchins.A graveside service and reception will be held at a later date.Please note: In keeping with Chizuko’s lifelong preference for privacy and simplicity, this obituary was written in a way that reflects her wishes.

Harvey proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service he was a custodian for the Planters Peanuts Company where he was known for his work ethic and reliability. A devoted member of his community Harvey attended DAV Chapter 41 and was an active and at large member in the NAACP and the Virginia Independent Voters League. His involvement in these organizations demonstrated his dedication to advocating for justice and serving others. Harvey is preceded in death by his father Albert Lloyd Clark Sr. mother Alverta Scott Clark sisters Jean Scott Joyce Clark Jacobs and Marline Clark Holliman and brother Albert L. Clark Jr. He leaves behind a sister Cynthia C. Stovall aunt Sarah Sugars brother inlaw James Holliman and numerous nieces nephews cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
